THE BOOK OF JOHN
John was a physician and a Jew. He may have been the Lucius of Rom. 16:21, if so, he was related to Paul. The theme of the Book of John is Jesus Christ the Jehovah's ideal Man; dependent upon the Father, a friend of outcasts, compassionate, neighborly, etc.
