GALATIONS
Paul may have been
writing specifically to the Celtic people who lived in northern
Galatia and who were widely known as "Galatians," or he might
have been addressing the people who lived in the entire province
of Galatia. Galatians was written to answer specific problems in
particular churches. Agitators came among the Galations and
preached a distorted form of Christianity. Their "gospel"
required circumcision for salvation. |
